Recovery Concepts provides treatment to chemically dependent and substance abusing individuals, male and female, ages 12 years and older, from Bedford and the surrounding counties.

Despite how you may view yourself regarding the disease of addiction our goal at Recovery Concepts is to give you the necessary knowledge and skills to make better choices surrounding your use of drugs and alcohol and to enable you to live a healthy, happy and fulfilling life. Recovery Concepts is fully licensed to provide Drug and Alcohol Assessments and Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment by the Division of Drug and Alcohol Program Licensure and the Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Programs through the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Recovery Concepts staff consists of professionally trained counselors who possess expert knowledge regarding the disease of chemical dependence. They are uniquely qualified to help you understand the disease of chemical dependence and to assist you in gaining the necessary skills to learn to live a drug and alcohol free life.

Evaluation / Assessment
Recovery Concepts provides comprehensive Evaluation and Assessment services to determine the correct diagnosis and identify the most appropriate level of care for treatment based on the client’s pattern of chemical use.

Individual Counseling
Client’s meet confidentially a minimum of once per week individually with expertly trained clinical staff to examine and discuss how individual issues and choices regarding alcohol and other drugs have effected their lives and to identify the skills and changes necessary to begin living chemical free.

Group Counseling
Recovery Concepts offers Group Counseling as part of our Outpatient Treatment Program. Group counseling assists clients in addressing the various aspects of the Disease of Chemical Dependency and the Recovery / Abstinence Process with an emphasis on 12 step support groups such as Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous.

DUI Services
Recovery Concepts provides a comprehensive Substance Abuse Evaluation to determine the needs of the client seeking treatment for a DUI.

Recovery Concepts offers individualized Education and/or Treatment to address the needs of DUI offenders. Short-term Educational Groups or Individual Treatment sessions may be utilized to meet the person’s individual needs.

For those clients whose Evaluation indicates that they meet the criteria may be offered a ONE DAY Substance Abuse Education Group to provide them with an understanding of the Risk Factors and Warnings Signs of Substance Abuse and the potential for Chemical Dependence. The information provided to clients in this educational group will enable them to make healthier choices in their lives and gain knowledge to avoid future problems related to drugs and alcohol.

The ONE Day Substance Abuse Education Group will be available based on the needs of the agency and only when an adequate number of people meet the criteria to participate in the group.

Drug Screens
Recovery Concepts provides clients with random Drug Screens and Breathalyzer tests on-site to help our clients meet their goals of abstaining from drug and alcohol use. This service is provided free as part of an individual’s treatment at Recovery Concepts.

Drug Screens may be arranged for the general public interested in this service for a small fee. Anyone interested in having a drug screen must call Recovery Concepts in advance to schedule an appointment to access this service.

Education / Information
Recovery Concepts provides educational information about the harmful effects of substance abuse in addition to the addiction and recovery process to educate clients and their families about the disease of chemical dependence.

Intervention / Consultation
Individualized Intervention and Consultation services are available to assist families with addressing their loved ones addiction through setting healthy boundaries and by preparing them to help their loved one to choose to accept help.
